Live smoke map

Regional 10 m wind — each arrow points the way the wind blows (downwind), sized and coloured by speed in mph. Sampled keyless from Open-Meteo on a grid around St. Joseph; wind changes slowly, so it refreshes about every 10 minutes.

The plume assessment is recomputed on the server every hour; sensor readings refresh about every 10 minutes. This map auto-refreshes every 60 seconds. Toggle HRRR-Smoke forecast in the layer control (top-right) for the NOAA CONUS near-surface smoke forecast, then use the time slider to animate it hours ahead.
